HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Hi, everybody!

I wish you all fantastic holidays!  I know for some of you holidays are not so near..., but here in Italy schools closed on 10th June!!!

At the moment I'm cleaning my broomstick, getting ready to fly off!
I don't know if you'll find new posts in the blog during summer: the pupils I had this year finished Primary School (SNIF SNIF!!) and I still don't know which class I'll teach in September...
But of course you can still go to all old posts and play!

So, have a really nice holiday and don't forget to put on suntan cream!
This is my friend Winnie the Witch: we're going on holiday together! (click on her picture to go to her site)
        Bye bye!!

Class 5D - Self Introduction Project

What's the date today?

Hello, everybody!
What's the date today? Try these activities to learn what you need to say the date: days, months and ordinal numbers.
Listen to this song about the months of the year:

Can you write the months of the year? Be careful: don't squash the monkey!!!!!

Do you know this rhyme about the days of the months?

Now make your own calendar:

In this game, you have to put the apples (the months) in the correct basket (the season):
Now, do some easy exercises with ordinal numbers:
Now more exercises or ordinal numbers (when you're done with the first one, click NEXT and find 2 more exercises) - (Thanks to Alex for telling me the link was broken!!!)
Try this crossword about months:

 ...and also this crossword:
Well, I have to go now: today is Friday, 29th April 2011 and I'm flying to London, Westminster Abbey,
on my magic broom
- Prince William are Kate are getting married and I'm putting on my Union Jack dress to be ready for the Royal Wedding!

Bye bye!

Jack and the Beanstalk

Hi, everyone!
How are you? Do you like the story I told you at school, "Jack and the Beanstalk"?
If you do, have a look at the following pictures and read the words (if the pictures are too small and you can't see them, click on the picture and download the file JackVoc):
Now you can watch this video:
Listen also to this version of the story, but I warn you: it's much more difficult to understand!
I really hope you enjoyed the story! Now, go plant your magic beans in the garden!
(If you are a teacher, you can go to my page at the top of the screen: FOR EFL TEACHERS: MIX)

Bye bye,

The Cat Came Back

 Hi, everyone!
Have you got a pet? If you do, I'm sure you love it, unlike old Mr Johnson, who had a yellow cat...

Listen to the song (an example of British black humour!):
...and watch the cartoon:

Well, I hope you liked it.      And now, give me a MIAO!
