Hungry Pig
Hi, everyone!
We have a new friend in our class: his name's HUNGRY PIG.
His favourite food is ENGLISH!
Yesterday we fed him English words we learnt about Spring, like CATERPILLAR, SNAIL, BUTTERFLY, LIZARD, LADYBIRD, ANT, BEE and others.
In the end he was all covered up in words!
Our windows are decorated with paper pictures of these animals and also with an umbrella, a puddle and raindrops, a cloud and a rainbow.
Clare - the Witch described the animals or things, the children guessed.
For example: It's an animal, it's got six legs, it's small, black and strong, what is it? It's an ANT!
Clare wrote the word ANT and all the others on the board.
Each child chose one word and copied it on a piece of paper.
Then we fed Hungry Pig: he was terribly hungry and he called out names, like:
I'M HUNGRY! PLEASE GIVE ME A "CATERPILLAR"! or I WANT A "LIZARD"!
The children with the word brought it to Hungry Pig and fed him.
He thanked them and noisily chewed the words - he even burped!
In the end he was all covered up in words!
Bye,
